The JTS R-4 packs four independent UHF wireless receiver channels into a single 1U 19" rack unit — making it the space-efficient, cost-effective choice for installations, rental companies, and venues requiring four simultaneous wireless channels without filling a rack with individual receivers. It has become the go-to multi-channel receiver for installers and rental operators across the UK.
Built around JTS's newest generation wireless technology, the R-4 is engineered to provide more compatible channels within a limited bandwidth — essential in today's congested RF spectrum. All four channels are independently controllable with full level adjustment, muting, frequency scan, and output attenuation. REMOSET technology allows all four paired transmitters to be synchronised simultaneously with a single button press — a significant time-saving advantage during multi-performer setups.
Cascading antenna and AC power outputs allow multiple R-4 units to be interconnected without additional distribution equipment, making it straightforward to expand from 4 to 8, 12, or more channels. Four independent balanced XLR outputs plus a mixed XLR and 6.3mm jack output provide maximum routing flexibility for both front-of-house and monitoring applications. Available in CH38 (606.5–638MHz, shared PMSE licence required) or CH65/CH70 (823–865MHz, fully licence-exempt).

Can I expand beyond four channels?
Yes — the cascading antenna and AC power outputs allow multiple R-4 units to share distribution without additional equipment. Two R-4 units provide 8 channels, three provide 12, and so on.
How does REMOSET work on the R-4?
The R-4's REMOSET sends frequency and microphone data to all four paired transmitters simultaneously with a single button press — significantly speeding up multi-performer setup compared to syncing each transmitter individually.
Does the CH65/CH70 version require a UK licence?
No — the CH65/CH70 variant covers 823–865MHz, which is now fully licence-exempt in the UK. CH65 (823–832MHz) became licence-exempt on 29 April 2026 following Ofcom's updated exemption regulations, and CH70 (863–865MHz) has always been licence-free. No licence or registration is required to operate on either band. The CH38 variant (606.5–638MHz) always requires a shared PMSE licence from Ofcom.
